A workspace (also known as ‘Tabs’) is different ways to work with data and to get a good overview on different areas in the system.
Depending on which workspaces you have permission to use you can access those from the '+' icon to the top right:

A split window with a list of all print and digital orders in your system in the top and assigned/unassigned materials in the bottom:
This workspace is useful for finding and matching unassigned materials with orders and there is some useful tools for this that is good to know.
You can from both top and bottom window enter the context menu by right clicking and then choose ‘Find matching’. This will potentially assist you on finding the right match by filtering on the width and height with a 1 mm in tolerance from either the material or order:
When you have found your matching material you can drag and drop to the order you want to match it with. If you by mistake drop it on a wrong order you can always enter the context menu by right clicking on the order and choose ‘Detach’:

DAM:
This workspace is useful to find assets and see the relation to a lineitem and a customer.
It’s a split window with all print and digital lineitems in window to the left. In the top right window is a list of all assets in the system and the bottom window will show a list of all assets related to the customer when choosing a lineitem in the left window. When choosing a lineitem in the left window you will also see all assets related to the chosen lineitem.
HINT: It is possible to adjust the size of the two windows by holding down the mouse and drag up/down in the small gap between the two windows!
Since this a automatically filter search feature in the system you will see the black chips added into the search bar in the two windows to the left:
INFO: It is only possible to have one lineitem selected at a time and the black chips can only be removed/disabled by deselecting the selected lineitem again.
In this workspace it is also possible to assign one or more marked assets to a lineitem by the drag and drop feature from the two windows to the left:
Production Dispatch
This workspace is used to assign jobs for artist and get an overview over how many assigned and active jobs an artist has.
It’s a split window of all print and digital orders in the left window with a black chip giving you the opportunity fast to filter by ‘All’ or ‘Assigned’ or 'Unassigned lineitems.
On the top right you have a list of all defined artist and in the right bottom window a list of the jobs that has been assigned to the artits:
HINT: It is possible to adjust the size of the two windows by holding down the mouse and drag up/down in the small gap between the two windows!
It is also possible to define workload hours in a complexity setting where jobs by default can be divided in different complexities combined with expected workload and have one complexity set as default on all imported lineitems if wanted. Else it will be empty and has to be set when initiating a lineitem.
This is how it’s by default is set up in X1:

How to assign/unassign or change job to another artist
When a lineitem has a complexity set it is then possible to assign it to an artist by dragging the lineitem from the left window above the artist name in the right top window:
HINT: It is possible to assign/unassign multiple lineitems to an artist by marking them before dragging and dropping them to the artist.
If you want to unassign a job from an artist or change a already assigned job to another artist you can either drag the lineitem back to the left window or drag the lineitem to an other artist:
Quick filtering on a artist jobs
It is easy and quick to get an overview on all assigned jobs to a specific artist simply by clicking on a name from the artist list in the top right window:
Absence calendar
The top right window contains calendar icon where it is possible on different parameters to set an artists absences. There is also a setting in the system that can determine if a work week is inclusive or exclusive Saturday and Sunday.
When entering the absence menu you get following options:
A list of all defined artists in the system and current week with days in divided into two green boxes - ‘Morning’ and ‘Afternoon’
It is possible to click on each green box to mark the artist unavailable or in a easier way if for instance the artist is unavailable/available all current or next week like this:
There is also an opportunity to browse between weeks by the arrow in front current week number to the top left or by the calendar to the left. If you set an artist unavailable by using ‘This week’ functionality it will choose the week you have browsed to/chosen from the calendar:
If needed it is possible to sort artist by user groups this way:
