Upload visuals and assets
To prepare an order for production, it is possible to upload visuals and assets and mark the order as being ready for production.
Visuals are sketches or “roughs” that are used to sketch how an ad should look. Assets are images, logos and copy files that should be used to compose the ad files. Both can be easily uploaded to a production order:
Select a creative placeholder for a production order and open the Production tab in the side panel.
Click the ADD VISUAL button
Drag the visual file from your desktop to the drop zone in the left side of the screen or click the drop zone to browse for the visual file
Drag asset file(s) from the desktop to the dropzone under Assets in the right panel or click the drop zone to select asset file(s).
Press SUBMIT to save the assets without submitting the order or press SEND TO PRODUCTION to submit the order to the production department - no more assets can the be added.
HINT: You can use the annotation tools to add comments on top of visuals. Please see the video below to learn more about how to add annotations.
Proofs and annotations
Proofing a creative is really simple in ADPOINT. To indicate changes to a proof, annotations can be added at the exact placement where the change should be applied. It even works on video and audio files.
Adding annotations
Select the frame annotation or highlighter tool from the toolbar above the preview. The frame is useful to mark larger areas that appear inside the frame. The highlighter is useful on top of texts as it is semi-transparent.
Place the annotation on the correct position. The position can be changed afterwards. An annotation box appears in the right side of the screen. The annotation box is marked with the name of the user.
Select a color of of the frame or highlighter from the annotation box to the right. The color merely servers as a way to make the annotation stand out from the background.
Enter a description and optionally also attach an asset to the annotation using the paperclip icon in the annotation box.
Submit annotations or approve with changes.
INFO: You can also add annotations to video and audio files. Use the video/audio controller to go to the frame or time where you want add an annotation and use the annotation tools as described above. Note that annotations on video and audio files also record the time where they were applied.
Deleting annotations
Annotations can be deleted using the trashcan found on the annotation box.
